College Fair at the Mall

Tonight we went over to the North Point Mall for a college fair featuring over 100 schools across the country, but mostly in the Southeast.  They had tables spread throughout the corridors of the mall.  It was packed with people and the more popular choices, like UNC, had lines which you had to wait in just to talk to someone.  But it wasn’t like they were able to tell you anything you couldn’t find on a good site like The Princeton Review.  Plus, I couldn’t believe the line for UGA.  Why not just go visit the school like we did?  Ditto for Georgia Tech.  I am not sure whether it will motivate Max to do more research into schools.  I have yet to see him do anything.

Today was also the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11th, yet I cringed when my aunt asked on Facebook, “Do you remember where you were on 9/11/2000?”
